Conditions are steps upon a contact's path within an Automation, and allow you to filter your automation to send to the appropriate people.
Conditions are evaluated immediately once a contact reaches that step and will check if something has happened in the past.
If the contact matches all the conditions set, they will proceed down the "Yes" path. Otherwise, they will proceed down the "No" path.
You can use the following to add Conditions:
Tags: Check whether a contact does or doesn't have specific tags.
Fields: Check whether specific fields contain or don't contain specific values.
Activities: Check if contacts or companies are associated with a specific Activity or not, and if so, which Team Member or Role they interacted with. Deepen your search across specific timeframes.
Ad Clicks: Check whether a contact has clicked or not clicked on a specific ad.
Lead Sources: Check whether a contact have come into your website from direct traffic, organic search, social ads, referrals, and more.
Commerce: Add conditions across purchases, subscriptions, and invoices. Deepen your search across specific timeframes and products.
Messages: Check whether a contact read, opened, clicked, and/or engaged with a specific email, or all emails created from a specific template.
Subscription Lists: Check whether a contact has subscribed to a specific newsletter.
Automations: Check whether a contact is part of another automation you've set up.
Forms: Check whether a contact has submitted a form, or filled out a certain field on the form.
Surveys: Check whether a contact took or didn't take a survey, or whether or not they were deemed satisfied or unsatisfied.
Team Members: Check whether a contact does or doesn't have an association with a particular team member added to the Kizen account.
Interactions: Check whether a contact clicked or had an impression on a link.
Pipelines: Check whether a contact does or doesn't have a deal in a pipeline, and what stage they may be in.
Contact Groups: Check whether contacts are part of a specific Contact Group or not.
Company Groups: Check whether contacts are associated with specific Company Groups or not.
On your Automation Step, click Conditions, then click the plus sign [+] next to the filter type to open up the use of that filter.
Click Add Filter and set your criteria.
You can add multiple filters within each filter type. To do so, click Add Filter again.
For Tags and Fields Filter types, you can add multiple criteria within each Filter as well. To do so, click the plus sign [+] next to the field. Click the [x] next to the field to remove that criteria.
A note on AND vs OR logic:
AND means contacts will need to meet all the criteria that has been set.
OR means contacts will need to meet at least one or the other criteria.
Setting multiple Filters across types will use AND logic.
Setting multiple Filters within a filter type will use AND logic.
Adding multiple criteria within a Filter will use OR logic.
Repeat across filter types and filters until all of your search criteria has been set.
Once you're done adding your criteria, click Save.
You can then add more steps down the Yes and/or No path.
