You have your sequences created, now it's time to use them. There are a number of ways to put your contacts in a sequence. Sequences can be used in Automations, or from the built-in triggers within Surveys and Forms

Triggering Sequences in Automations

Within an Automation, you can add a step that adds the contact to a specific sequence.

To do so, when creating an Automation, select Start Sequence under Actions and select the specific sequence you'd like to start at that point in the Automation.

You can also remove contacts from sequences within an Automation. This is helpful if you'd like to remove someone once they take a specific action. To do so, when creating an Automation, select Cancel Sequence under Actions and select the specific sequence you'd like to end at that point in the Automation.

Triggering Sequences in Surveys and Forms

Kizen has built-in Sequence Triggers under Surveys and Forms. You will find these on the Messages tab of your individual Survey or Form, or on the Survey or Form tabs in the Message Library once they've been created.

Survey Sequences

Survey Request Messages

Create a sequence of messages that are triggered by sending a contact a request to fill out a survey. This sequence can include date messages or step messages dependent on when the contact was sent the request. Once the survey is completed, the contact will be removed from any further messages in this sequence.

Please note: Make sure this is set up before requesting a survey response.

Use the {{ single_question_survey_text }} merge code to request a response via text. Any numerical text responses will be tracked as a response from that contact.

Add the Take Survey Button or embed the Single Question Survey into your email messages by clicking the Survey category of the content builder.

If you have multiple questions on your survey, the Single Question Survey button (for email messages) and merge code (for text messages) will automatically pull the first question of your survey.

Satisfied Messages

Create a sequence of messages that are triggered once a contact responds to a survey as "Satisfied." This sequence can include date messages or step messages dependent on when the contact responded to the survey.

By default, all Survey respondents are considered "Satisfied." To add conditions that must be met in order for the respondent to be considered "Satisfied," set up Smart Sort on the Overview tab.

Unsatisfied Messages

Create a sequence of messages that are triggered once a contact responds as "Unsatisfied." This sequence can include date messages or step messages dependent on when the contact responded to the survey.

By default, all respondents are considered "Satisfied." To add conditions that must be met in order for the respondent to be considered "Unsatisfied" set up Smart Sort on the Overview tab.

Form Sequence

Form Submission Messages

Create a sequence of messages that are triggered once a form is submitted by a contact. This sequence can include date messages or step messages dependent on when the contact submitted the form.
