You have the ability to host your Kizen store, forms, and surveys on a custom domain name.

If your domain is example.com, you can host your pages on a subdomain such as store.example.com, or you can host directly on example.com.

If you have an existing website on your main domain, you will have to use a subdomain. You cannot host your store, forms, and surveys on your main domain if you already have an existing website due to Domain Name Servers (DNS).

Step 1: From your dashboard, click Account

Step 2: Click Settings from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Click Custom Domain to set up your domain with your Kizen account.

Step 4: If your domain is example.com, enter a subdomain such as store.example.com and click Add Domain. If you would like to use your domain without a subdomain, please contact support and we will walk you through the process.

Reminder: If you have an existing website on your main domain, you will have to use a subdomain. You can't host your store, forms, and surveys on your main domain if you already have an existing website due to Domain Name Servers (DNS).

Step 5: Check your email. You will receive an email from no-reply@certificates.amazon.com. Open this email, click the Amazon Certificate Approvals link, and click the I Approve button. This step is required for issuing an SSL Certificate for your domain to secure your website.

The email will be sent to the addresses listed in your domain's WHOIS contact information and additionally to administrator@yourdomain.com, hostmaster@yourdomain.com, postmaster@yourdomain.com, webmaster@yourdomain.com, and admin@yourdomain.com. Make sure you can receive emails to at least one of these addresses!

If you do not receive the email, please add no-reply@certificates.amazon.com to your address book, delete your domain using the Delete Domain button, and re-add the domain.

Step 6: After receiving the email and approving the certificate, click Next Step.

Step 7: Update your DNS records. Go to the DNS provider that you use to manage your domain and add the DNS record. This change will not affect your email or other services.

It will usually take less than 30 minutes for your domain to go live, however, it can sometimes take up to 24 hours. Please contact support after 24 hours if you have made the DNS change and the domain is not yet working.

Step 8: Choose the default domain you'd like to use for your hosted form, pages, surveys, and store. You can select the custom domain you just set up, or our Kizen hosted domain. Click Submit to save.

Step 9: Customize what visitors will see when they go to your domain.

For example, let's say someone sees one of your forms at subdomain.domain.com/forms and decides to take a peek at subdomain.domain.com. You can decide what they see, such as a specific form, survey, store, or simply keep this page blank. Click Submit to save.
