How do I Schedule an Activity?


Purpose: Scheduling activities allows users to set dates for activities—past or future—with options to enable email or text notifications for upcoming activities. It covers scheduling directly from the Activity Dashboard, Contact Records, Entity Records, or Automations, helping effectively manage and track tasks and interactions across the platform

Schedule an Activity Overview


Scheduling an activity allows you to update the date of an activity to be in the past or in the future. For future activities, you can also enable email or text notifications.


You can schedule activities using the following methods:


    1. From the Activity Dashboard


    2. From a Contact Record


    3. Through an Automation



Schedule an Activity from the Activity Dashboard


1. Navigate to Dashboard tab from the top menu bar


2. Locate the Scheduled Activities dashlet


3. Click on +Add Activity button

 


4. Select the Associations for the activity

Activities can be associated with Contacts, Companies, or Custom Objects


5. Select the Settings for the activity

Settings include: Activity, Team Member to assign the activity to, Due Date, and Due Time


6. Add any applicable notifications (optional)


7. Click Schedule




Schedule an Activity from a Contact Record


1. Navigate to Data tab from the top menu bar


2. Click Contacts


3. Search for the contact


4. Click on the Contact Name



5. From the action block, select Schedule Activity



6. Select the Associations for the activity

Activities can be associated with Contacts, Companies, or Custom Objects


7. Select the Settings for the activity

Settings include: Activity, Team Member to assign the activity to, Due Date, and Due Time 


8. Add any applicable notifications (optional)


9. Click Schedule



Schedule an Activity from an Entity Record


1. Select Data tab from the top menu bar


2. Click Custom Objects


3. Click on the Object Name



4. Search for the Entity Record


5. Click on the Entity Record



6. From the action block, select Schedule Activity



7. Select the Associations for the activity

Activities can be associated with Contacts, Companies, or Custom Objects


8. Select the Settings for the activity

Settings include: Activity, Team Member to assign the activity to, Due Date, and Due Time


9. Add any applicable notifications (optional)



10. Click Schedule


Schedule an Activity from an Automation


1. Select Automations from the top menu bar


2. Click the Automation Name or New Automation

 


3. Click the + button where you want the automation to be scheduled


4. Click Add Action



5. In the Action Settings block Choose Activity


6. Choose a team member to Assign the activity To 


7. Set the Due Date


8. Include any notes (if applicable)


9. Add Notification (if applicable)


10. Click Save
