Purpose: The purpose of this article is to walk the user through the steps necessary to edit a custom field. In the case where a custom field has already been created you may go back and modify the editable fields at any time. You may also choose to edit the Field Name, Field API Name or the Category associated with it. There is also a radio button option which can be turned on for security purposes in order to obfuscate the data.

Step-By-Step Guide
Step 1: Navigate to the Customize Fields section in your settings.
There are two available interfaces for Customized Fields. There is the Customized Fields interface which is directly on an object and then there is the Customized Fields interface that can be accessed through the settings menu item.
- The first interface is directly on an object. You may go through the Contacts or Custom Objects screen to arrive at the Customize Fields screen
- If you are an administrator, you can access and customize fields for all objects inside the global application settings. Clicking Settings from the top menu bar. You can Click Customize Fields: https://fmo.kizen.com/settings/custom-fields/contacts

Step 2: Select the Custom Field that you would like to edit.
Find the Custom Field that you would like to edit (example: Medicare Number) and click on the 3 black dots (...) to the right of the attribute. A drop down will appear containing 3 options to choose from. Please click on Edit Options…
Step 3: Update the Edit Field dialog box which appears.
There are 3 editable fields that can be modified. You may choose to edit the Field Name, Field API Name or the Category. There is also a radio button option which for security purposes can be selected to obfuscate the data until direct interaction. Once you have finished editing, click on the Save button.
