How do I edit a Custom Field?

Purpose: This article outlines the steps to edit a custom field in Agent CRM, allowing users to update and modify existing fields to ensure that their data structure remains relevant and tailored to their specific needs

Accessing Customize Fields Section


There are two available interfaces for editing custom fields:


- Directly on the object menu (through the Contacts tab)



- Through the Settings menu item 



Attention: You should be an administrator to access and customize fields for all objects inside the main application settings. If you do not have the necessary permissions please contact an administrator

How to Edit a Custom Field


Here's the flow to edit a Custom Field:


1. Go to Settings tab from the top menu bar 


2. Click Customize Fields


3. Navigate to the Custom Object the Custom Field is related to


4. Locate a custom field you need and tap on "..." icon 


5. Click Edit Options



6. Make the necessary changes


There are 3 editable fields that can be modified. You may choose to edit the Field NameField API Name or the Category. There is also a toggle button that blurs data until direct interaction, which can be used for security purposes


7. Click Save
